Echoes in Motion

In this project, I aimed to guide my students in discovering their identities and aspirations by exploring Shahnameh. Through this journey, they sought to connect with their inner myth, engaging with it more deeply through art and painting. I encouraged them to find answers to their own questions through guided discussions and dialectic conversations, helping them navigate their uncertainties. Here are the results of this transformative project:

7 Art 7 Artist

In this project, my goal was to help children develop a positive body image and learn to express themselves confidently and clearly through physical movement and expression. I designed a series of exercises to make them more comfortable with this exploration and to deepen their awareness of their own bodies.

The project focused on improvisation, using activities like small ball exercises and balancing water containers on their heads. Through these practices, the children could discover and engage different parts of their bodies, including those they might rarely use in daily life

The Body Practices Music

As a powerful tool for expression, the body is inseparable from movement, which is constantly shaped by our thoughts and guided by the mind. But which holds dominance: our thoughts over our bodies, or our bodies over our thoughts and psyche? When listening to music, we may find our body naturally responding through spontaneous, unplanned movements—be it a facial expression, a tapping foot, or a flick of the hand. These movements, initially uncoordinated, stem from deep, momentary emotions. As the body syncs with the rhythm, it aligns with the beats of music, the sounds of nature, or the imagery drawn from our perceptions and inner fantasies of the world around us. This resonance then expresses itself through movement and form. In this interplay, sometimes our gestures and forms seem to compose the music, while at other times, the melodies shape our movements, creating a singular expression of motion. How, then, can we uncover and nurture the essence of our being through this unique movement expression, both in ourselves and in our children? And why does this matter?
